The “Live” side of B.B. King’s 1969 album “Live & Well” was recorded live at The Hit Factory in early March, 1969. The “Well” side was recorded in the Village Gate Studio, New York City.

Reportedly, R. Crumb declined any “filthy” record label payment for drawing the cover of Big Brother and the Holding Company’s album “Cheap Thrills” — so Janis Joplin let him grope her breasts instead.
