Al Green’s 1974 song “Take Me to the River” was used in the popular animatronic novelty singing mounted fish BIG MOUTH BILLY BASS. Green says its use generated the most royalties the song ever earned.

Robert Petway first recorded “Catfish Blues”, covered by Muddy, Hendrix, Gov’t Mule, et al, and then disappeared. No later recordings were ever found.
