Before being discovered, Howlin’ Wolf hosted a radio show in KWEM in West Memphis, Arkansas where his house band included Matt “Guitar” Murphy (later of Blues Brothers Fame), Junior Parker and Willie Johnson.

The band Joy Division was formed after the two founding members went to a Sex Pistols concert on June 4th, 1976.
