Shock rocker Alice Cooper claims to own the first “O” in Los Angeles’ famous “HOLLYWOOD” sign, bought in 1978 in memory of Groucho Marx as part of a sign restoration project.

The Disco Ball was first patented in 1917 and became popular in the Roaring 20s. Pink Floyd created one of (if not) the largest disco balls in the world for their 1994 tour, at 16′ in diameter.
