Dan Aykroyd rented an old bar at 282 Hudson for the coveted NYC parking space, near the SNL studio, and operated an unlicensed blues bar for the cast and crew, including instruments for jams. The Million Dollar Quartet happened by chance on December 4th, 1956, when Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis happened to all be at the studio at once & gathered around Elvis Presley on the piano for an impromptu jam session.
