The melody for “Yesterday” came to Paul McCartney in a dream, and he composed the music that next morning. He was intensely concerned that he’d subconsciously copied the melody from someone else and spent a month checking to see that he hadn’t.

The title of the Rolling Stones’ “Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out!” was taken from a Blind Boy Fuller song.
