For sampling his iconic whistle on “Dock of the Bay”, De La Soul credited Otis Redding with a performer credit in the song “Eye Know” from their 1989 masterpiece album “Three Feet High & Rising”.

When Little Walter dropped out of the 1967 “Super Blues Band” recording session, he was replaced with Howlin Wolf — which of course meant a name upgrade to “The SUPER Super Blues Band”.
