The first words ever spoken in a feature film were “Wait a minute, wait a minute. You ain’t heard nothin’ yet!” by Al Jolson in the 1927 movie The Jazz Singer.

When The Rolling Stones’ Brian Jones died at 27 years old, The Who’s Pete Townshend and The Doors’ Jim Morrison each published poems about him, and Jimi Hendrix dedicated a song to him on TV. Hendrix & Morrison would both soon join the 27 club, with Morrison dying exactly 2 years to-the-day after Jones.
