The Gaslight Cafe in Greenwich Village, NY, was one of the epicenters for the 60’s folk music boom and closed in 1971.

San Fransisco was exploding with culture in 1965 when Big Brother and the Holding Company formed from the city's musicians. But by 1966, Big Brother needed a singer, so they called Janis Joplin back to Frisco from Port Arthur, Texas. The rest was history.

This is a 4.3 oz 100% combed ringspun cotton fine jersey Bluescentric brand Big Brother and the Holding Company ringer t shirt. It features side seams and contrasting 1x1 baby rib binded collar and sleeves.
