According to Eric Clapton, Sonny Boy Williamson pulled a knife on him when they met because Clapton knew his real name.

Every sale of this official Butterfield Blues Band baseball shirt directly benefits Paul Butterfield's estate, because Bluescentric cares about the music.

Paul Butterfield was born in Chicago during it's transcendent blues explosion in the 50s and 60s, becoming one of the most influential harmonica players of the 20th century.

After learning from future legends like Muddy Waters, Little Walter and James Cotton, Butterfield Blues Band made now legendary appearances at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, the first Woodstock in 1969, and The Band's final performance, The Last Waltz. Along with his own celebrated albums like East-West and his self-titled debut, Butterfield played harmonica on Muddy Waters' Fathers and Sons and The Muddy Waters Woodstock Album.
