Producer Lou Adler created the modern music festival with 1967’s Monterey Pop Festival, produced hit records for The Mamas & The Papas, Carol King, Cheech & Chong, and popular counter-culture movies The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Cheech & Chong’s Up In Smoke, and the Monterey Pop documentary. He was inducted in to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
