WELCOME TO THE NEW BLUESCENTRIC WEBSITE!

Civil rights icon Rev. Al Sharpton was James Brown’s tour manager through most of the 1970s.

Cobra Records was founded in 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, capturing a slice of the golden era of blues with Otis Rush, Sunnyland Slim, Magic Sam and even a young Buddy Guy. The label folded after the founder was discovered dead at the bottom of Lake Michigan under mysterious circumstances.
