“I was shaking. I had sweat pouring down my back. Miles saw me suffering and said, ‘Play it like you don’t know how to play guitar!'” – John McLaughlin on surviving his audition with Miles Davis

This is a Bluescentric Brand Blind Willie McTell Long Sleeve T-Shirt, available in sizes from Small up to 5XL! This is a pre-shrunk 100% heavy cotton (athletic heather 99%) 6 oz long sleeve tee. Double-needle sleeve and bottom hem.

This t-shirt design features a photo of blues guitar great Blind Willie McTell with a twelve string guitar in a hotel room in Atlanta, Georgia.

Taken in November of 1940, McTell would have been 42 years old. Interestingly, the photo was taken by Ruby Lomax, the wife of great musicologist Alan Lomax. The photo now resides in the Library of Congress for posterity.

Blurry and dramatic, posing with an unusual guitar and obscured face, McTell fittingly resembles a ghost in this photo.

To accentuate this, the photo has been sepia toned, and the light version of the shirt design prints only the black from the photo, while the dark prints only the light. The text in the bottom says "Blind Willie McTell."
