WELCOME TO THE NEW BLUESCENTRIC WEBSITE!

Howlin’ Wolf spent two and a half years in the US Army, as part of the 9th Cavalry Regiment, famed for being “Buffalo Soldiers.” When the units disbanded in 1944, Wolf officially became the last of the Buffalo Soldiers.

Fan Favorite! Take it on down Highway 61 with this official unstructured, low-profile ball cap.

Highway 61, the blues highway, snakes along the Mississippi River from New Orleans to Minnesota, fueling evolution of new music like Electric Blues and inspiring music from figures like Bob Dylan, Mississippi Fred McDowell and Sunnyland Slim.

In one version of the legend, Robert Johnson is said to have sold his soul at the crossroads of Highway 61 and 49, just outside of Clarksdale, Mississippi.
