Elton John booked a studio in Jamaica to record “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”, because The Rolling Stones recorded Goats Head Soup there, but had to leave after discovering the studio conditions were deplorable. They added the song “Jamaica Jerk-Off” to the album in tribute to the event.
