Monterey Pop Festival 1967 T-Shirt – Lightweight Vintage Style

This Bluescentric Brand official Monterey Pop Festival t-shirt is available in premium lightweight 4.2oz vintage style sizes up to 4XL. Solid colors are 100% combed, ringspun cotton. Athletic Heather is 90% cotton. All other Heather colors are 52% cotton, 48% poly. Sizes run true. These t shirts are lighter and slightly more fitted compared to the Classic Gildan tees. 

It was the hottest ticket of 1967 -- June 16, 17 and 18 at the Monterey County Fairgrounds featured performances by Janis Joplin, Otis Redding, The Grateful Dead, The Butterfield Blues Band, Booker T and the MGs, and The Who's first-ever U.S. performance, where Pete Townshend smashed his guitar in a famous finalé.

It was also Jimi Hendrix's U.S. debut, so not to be outdone, he set fire to his own guitar "as a sacrifice".

MPOP would be the blueprint for nearly all music festivals that came after, including Woodstock two years later.
