This design was inspired by a cheeky but poignant sign / art project out of Dublin, Ireland. While the sign itself is gone now, the message lives on.
The Surfaris 1963 massive smash hit single “WIPEOUT” was a traditional 12-bar blues riff. The laughing in the beginning was the studio owner & band’s manager. It was written & recorded “on the spot” in the studio as b-side filler.
