Meanwhile Dan Aykroyd, while working on SNL, rented an underground blues bar close to the studio to play music with the cast & crew after-hours. Soon enough, the duo made their bluesy black suit-and tie debut on Saturday Night Live, performing Slim Harpo’s “I’m A King Bee” in 1976. The rest was Blues Brothers history.
