Slugs in the Far East was a jazz establishment, located in Manhattan’s East Village. The clubat became legendary in the 1960s and early 70s for its raw atmosphere and perfect breeding ground for experimental jazz music from legends like Sun Ra, Ornette Coleman and Lee Morgan -- who was killed at the venue in 1972.
