“500,000 halos outshined the mud and history. We washed and drank in God’s tears of joy. And for once, and for everyone, the truth was not still a mystery.” – Jimi Hendrix lyric on Woodstock

There's little doubt that rock n roll was born with Memphis' Sun Records in the mid-1950s. Sam Phillips started recording the blues, and captured the voices of new talent from the area, like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. The rest was rockabilly history. This band shirt design features the famous yellow Sun Records logo, and it says "Where Rock n Roll was Born" and the year of Sun's founding, 1952. The bottom reads "Memphis, Tennessee".
