“B.B. King was a lovely chap. His early stuff was stupendous and he’s just kept going. I first met him in New York. He came up to me and said, “Hey boy are you sure you weren’t born in Mississippi?”” – David Gilmour, Pink Floyd

There's little doubt that rock n roll was born with Memphis' Sun Records in the mid-1950s. Sam Phillips started recording the blues, and captured the voices of new talent from the area, like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. The rest was rockabilly history. This band shirt design features the famous yellow Sun Records logo, and it says "Where Rock n Roll was Born" and the year of Sun's founding, 1952. The bottom reads "Memphis, Tennessee".
