The same year Bukka White had a hit with his 1937 song “Shake ‘Em On Down”, he was sentenced to the notorious Parchman Farm Penitentiary for shooting a man. Two years later, musicologist Alan Lomax found & recorded White there for the Library of Congress.

This retro 60s London UFO Club T-Shirt features art inspired by an original club concert poster.

The UFO Club opened its doors with Pink Floyd as its house band, planting psychedelic seeds before vanishing by the time psyche rock blossomed across the world. Opened in the gritty basement of Tottenham Court Rd in London in 1966, the club only operated for about a year. But it was a good year. UFO Club helped give rise to Soft Machine, Procol Harum, The Incredible String Band and Pink Floyd.
