Bluescentric original Chicago T-Shirt

Wabash Avenue is the heart of the city of Chicago, and the heart of electric Chicago blues. A bustling street hosting millions of people every year, Wabash is home to the "L Train" and Buddy Guy's Legends.

A mid-twentieth century gem, Wabash Amps were also named for the iconic Chicago street. And as fate would have it, Wabash became the amplification of choice for classic Chicago Blues. The amplifiers are lovingly known to blues affectionados as the sound favored by Chicago legends Buddy Guy and Hubert Sumlin on hits like Howlin' Wolf's "Spoonful".

Some say Wabash amps were the house amp for Chicago-based Brunswick Records. Wabash was also rumored to have been Elmore James' amp of choice, among others.

Wabash closed more than 70 years ago, sometime in the 1950s.
