Ten years before KISS rocked the world with “Love Gun”, Albert King was singing about that Love Gun on his 1967 song “The Hunter” from his landmark album “Born Under a Bad Sign”.

Folk singer Pete Seeger was likely the last person to ever hear bluesman Big Bill Broonzy sing. He recorded the private performance and the next day, doctors nicked Broonzy’s vocal chords while performing cancer surgery. The bluesman never sang (or talked above a whisper) again.
