The famous photo of Jimi Hendrix burning his guitar at Monterey Pop Festival was taken by 17-year-old Ed Caraeff, who’d never heard of Jimi, with the last picture in his camera.

In 1972, Columbia College in Chicago awarded Howlin’ Wolf an honorary doctor of arts degree.
