John Lee Hooker was sweeping floors at a Detroit auto factory when his 1948 song “Boogie Chillun” put him on the road to super-stardom.

In a now-infamous moment, TV personality Pat Boone attempted to interview Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett on live TV after a performance, which Barrett responded with a “blank and totally mute stare”. According to drummer Nick Mason, “Syd wasn’t into moving his lips that day.” It contributed to his departure from the band.
