Paramount Records was actually founded by the Wisconsin Chair Company. They had made phonograph cabinets and needed records for people to play on them. So they recorded the likes of Blind Lemon Jefferson, Ma Rainey and Tommy Johnson.

Johnny Cash’s daughter Cindy Cash was married to performer Marty Stuart (who at one point was a member of Cash’s touring band).
