Bo Diddley’s 1956 classic “Who Do You Love” was covered by Ronnie Hawkins and The Hawks (soon to be The Band), George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Doors, Johnny Winter, Carlos Santana, and Tom Rush. Hawkins & The Band reunited to play this song at The Last Waltz.

The iconic “holding up lighters at a concert” started at Woodstock — Master of Ceremonies Chip Monck said that if you lit candles, it would help to keep the rain away. The hillside was aglow, and the tradition carries to this day.
