James Brown & the Famous Flames had a big hit with their song “Shout & Shimmy”, which was almost a copy of The Isley Brothers’ smash hit “Shout”.

The lead singer of The Drifters, Rudy Lewis, died the night before recording “Under The Boardwalk”, his alternate Johnny Moore made the song one of the group’s most massive hits.
