While Waylon Jennings was recording his album “I’ve Always Been Crazy” in 1977, federal agents stormed the recording studio trying to bust Jennings for drugs, which they didn’t find. He was inspired to write “Don’t You Think This Outlaw Bit’s Done Got Out of Hand?” after the experience.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers recorded Robert Johnson’s song “They’re Red Hot” on their 1991 album Blood Sugar Sex Magik.
