Pete Best, the original drummer for the Beatles (who was fired a month before the band’s worldwide fame) released a 1965 album called “Best of the Beatles” which contained no Beatles music. A consumer fraud investigation had to be dropped, since Best had been, indeed, “of The Beatles”.

The rhythm on Eric Clapton’s famous version of “Crossroads” was taken from Muddy Waters’ 1951 song “Honey Bee”
