Abbey Road Studios in City of Westminster, London, England was established as a recording studio in 1931 by Gramophone Company, a predecessor of famed British music company EMI.

The vocals for Bad Brains’ song “Sacred Love” on their influential 1986 album “I Against I” had to be recorded by vocalist H.R. through a prison phone, where he was serving time for marijuana.
