The Blues Brothers self-titled debut album is dedicated to Curtis Salgado — the inspiration behind John Belushi’s creation of the Blues Brothers characters.

Tom Petty dropped out of high school to join a band, Mudcrutch, at 17 years old. While the band didn’t last long enough to release a record, some of its members formed Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
