Pink Floyd’s first performance of what would become Dark Side of the Moon was January 20th, 1972 at The Dome, in Brighton, Sussex, England. The band spent over a year developing the songs while on tour, before releasing it on March 1st, 1973.

W.C. Handy was the first to document “the blues”, saying he heard it on a train platform in Tutwiler, Mississippi.
