The “Father of Country Music” Jimmie Rodgers, was the first major Country star and more than a third of his recordings were blues.

American jazz saxophonist Sidney Bechet spent a year in jail for dueling on the streets of Paris and accidentally shooting an innocent bystander. The duel was over whether or not Bechet was in tune.
