Charlie Parker’s “Relaxin’ at Camarillo,” was written while he was recovering from his heroin addiction at the Camarillo State Mental Hospital in California.

Before being discovered, Howlin’ Wolf hosted a radio show in KWEM in West Memphis, Arkansas where his house band included Matt “Guitar” Murphy (later of Blues Brothers Fame), Junior Parker and Willie Johnson.
