Jerry Lee Lewis recorded his soon-to-be smash hit song “Great Balls of Fire” with two Sun Studio session musicians, bassist Sidney Stokes & drummer Larry Linn — whom he reportedly never saw again.

While Waylon Jennings was recording his album “I’ve Always Been Crazy” in 1977, federal agents stormed the recording studio trying to bust Jennings for drugs, which they didn’t find. He was inspired to write “Don’t You Think This Outlaw Bit’s Done Got Out of Hand?” after the experience.
